Any idea on the # of these produced? Relative rarity? Less rare than the notchback?

Any downsides to a 900 5-door?

I blew the transmission on my 85 900S 3 door and think it's time to move on.

Are all 900's (US Spec ones) fuel injected or are any carburated?

How about general reliability of very early 900's? I realize that much of the 900 came from the 99... Specifically, the early engines? early turbos? early manual transmissions?

I've never driven a classic 900 turbo. My 9-5 Aero has relatively little lag and is very flexible across a large power range. Compared to modern turbos, are the classic ones substantially different in nature (from a driving perspective)? How much does a 900 5 door weigh?

How about parts compatibility between 85 900S and a 79-80 900 5-door?

There's a bunch of new stuff I'll take off my 85 900S before sending it to the junk yard... Will the following work:
* Complete new clutch, less than 5000 miles. From pedal to pressure plate, all new.
* starter, alternator?
* exhaust? Will I need substantially different pipes?
* front and rear suspension components? (just 37 miles old...)
* Brakes (also 37 miles old)?
* Radiator?

Thanks!

Bryce
