I don't doubt that copper is used in some head gaskets, and reading my own post made me realize I didn't say OEM until the next line down.
I don't think any performance people have problems when using copper gaskets in their machines.
But the gaskets that is installed from factory is not copper, but steel. And that's where we have the problems, with factory installed gaskets or coolant or bad batch of cast iron blocks
And I also mentioned in the same text that Saab came out with a bullentin how to use JB weld to repair corroded areas. That still doesn't mean I beleive in that method to repair a corroded engine block.
Just because someone higher up tells you to jump doesn't mean you have to do it if it goes against your beleives.
