It very well could be your fuel pump. The fuel pump consists of a pre-pump $30 and the main pump $100+. It's a good idea to keep at least 1/4 tank of gas at all times as the main pump works under pressure from the pre-pump. You may just need to add some gas, worth a try. It is a DIY job but you will need a flex driver & a 7mm socket. Once you have the unit out you can then bench test it using 12v source. A battery charger will work. Used units run around $30 on ebay or your local j-yard. I picked up a spare will carry it if my car ever goes out of town.
