...referring to the cross-drilled rotors which sit behind the rims. They're parts of the brakes. If you drill the rims, other than to make the bolt pattern fit your year, you are looking into some serious problems. If you're going 60MPH on wheels with holes in them, most likely they will break, sending you uncontrollably into any direction.
Check out a picture of my cross-drilled rotors with my Super Aeros removed on my 90 SPG...
