Hello, all. I had quite a bit of trouble with my alternator this past weekend, but hopefully the issed has been resolved temporarily. I have two questions regarding the alternator, although one may not be associated with the aforementioned at all. First, there is a small wire connected to the throttle near the alternator. This wire is underneath a much larger wire/cable that runs from the alternator into the firewall. The larger wire/cable has a spring-like mechanism at the firewall. The small wire in question has a u-shaped connecter at the end. The problem is that this wire is connected to the throttle, but the u-shaped end is not connected to anything, so the wire is just loosely hanging there. Where should this wire be connected? I may not have made this extremely clear, so please feel free to ask any questions for clarification purposes. My second question is dealing with the belts on the alternator. There are two belts attached to the alternator that I replaced several months ago. The tension on these two belts are different, so I'm needing to know if there is another way I can tighten the belt closest to the firewall. The belt furthest away from the firewall is plenty tight, but the belt closest to the firewall is a bit too loose for my comfort. There is an adjustment bolt on the alternator that tightens both belts, but only one belt really needs tightened, and I don't want to break the bolt in two by tightening it beyond a reasonable limit (been there, done that). When I purchased these belts, I made sure they were the correct length and everything. Any ideas? FYI...all of the aforementioned issues are on a 1990 900 Turbo. If any questions may arise, or you have any suggestions, feedback, input, or comments, please e-mail me or respond to this posting. I greatly appreciate any additional information...thanks a bunch in advance. Everyone have a GREAT week, drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
