The front wheel bearings have 2 sets of races, so just because it is louder when turning left, it doesn't mean you need a right side bearing. Turning left and right will help you determine that you need a wheel bearing, but it won't help you determine which one. To determine which one, jack up the car, put it in neutral, take off the front tires, and spin each hub. It will be harder to deterime which is bad, because you are also spinning the driveshaft and part of the drivetrain, but if you pay attention, you'll be able to tell.
