Hello saabers,

I have recently been driving my '89 c900t more and more. And it seems that I like it more and more everytime that I drive it. I have owned (3) 16V saab turbos, my latest ('89) seems almost quicker than my '85 SPG ever was. I don't like to beat on my cars very often, so the only time that I really run them at high r's (high boost) is on the expressways etc. 3rd gear on on-ramps etc. I am even more impressed with the top gear acceleration of my car at highway speeds (70-80mph); it feels like there should be another gear! Anyways that is why I wanted to bring up the question of how fast are these cars. I know they don;'t have tons of rated HP (165 I beleive) and of course you modify them to have a lot more than that.. I'm more curious about a decent stock, or slightly modified 16V 2.0L turbo saab...

What is the top speed of a c900T? I have gone up to about 110, and I think there is a lot left after that.

I think 0-60 isn;t great: 7 seconds or so I believe, and I imagine a 1/4mi would be 15's at best. But to me they still feel quite fast. Especially when you have good fuel, and a strong turbo!

how fast to most people cruise on highways? I find my self hovering around 80mph (3k R's in a 5spd), but often give her a little more to pass a 3 series or something..

well this post was long, sorry, but I just wonder if other people feel the same way., I hope no one thinks that I'm a punk kid trying to blow up his car (-: ! I just love driving a car that is 15yrs old, and still can kick some serious butt, all while hauling my dog, 2 weeks worth of clothes and getting 25mpg!

can you get this much satisfaction from any other car?
enjoy!
