In the middle of a 3hr drive my car started developing a vibration/shake. While going slow in 1-3 it is not noticable. Like driving on side roads at low speeds. But when you accelerate, or even just driving with gas, in 4th and 5th gears the car shakes pretty bad. It seems to almost disapear when you put in the clutch. At some speeds and points it is not so bad but you can still feel a slight rumble/vibration and know something is amiss. But other times it can be real bad. Especially on the highway or up hills. I almost am positive its a drivetrain issue but the way the shifter vibrates and such I just cant tell if it might even be motor related. Its seems like a different vibration than I have experienced. It seems as if it is not quite wheel speed related. However I really am no expert. It sort of feels like the tire blew out but more centered in the middle of the car and the engine. The car always at high highway speeds vibrated a little. But now its a whole new level and is almost a dangerous violent pounding shaking/vibration.

While trying to fix the highspeed shaking about 3-4 months ago, i have replaced the wheel bearings, and suspension parts. only thing untouched so far are the axles and inner drivers. the tripods where regreased about 4-5 years ago but are orginal i beleive, over 160k. I do have 2 inner drivers around. I think they are both from one side only? Are the sides interchangable? Or is one specific to the passenger/driver side. How can I tell which side might be the culprit? Or if it is axle or driver? Or is this not even my problem? i am not too good with diagnosing these things. thanks for any help and input. i have 1 day tomarrow with my parts and tools. I hope i can figure this out.
