8v 900S, 1985, began engine re-wire but intake makes it needlessly 'blind' operation - what about removing it? Does manifold have a gasket vs. use any old sealant? Better to not disconnect throttle cable to avoid readjust throttle stop, etc? - is there enough slack to expect it to lie to one side? Worth hassle? Tips appreciated. Not in Bentley. TIA
