but you won't like the answer......
I had to replace the pump assembly, I was fortunate to get a complete master assembly off a wreck for $500 which includes the master, pump, pressure switch, and accumulator.
In my case I found that if the temp was hot, the pump wouldn't run. chasing the circuits: lights on when hot:
is there power to the pump? yes/no?
if no: is the pressure switch telling the pump relay to close? if yes is the relay good? etc...
if yes: something is wrong with the pump
I found that if I smacked the pump with a large screwdriver it would run for a while. I tore it apart afterwards and don't know how it ran at all. The commutators were badly burned, and the entire motor was filled w black junk of some sort.
