there is sometimes a problem with the connectors going between the left driver foot well thru to the fuse block on the left fender in the engine compartment. Lots of trouble shooting and checking all of the relays (the two in the passenger footwell as well as others) will make it look like they are all dead.
First let's check ignition, get a can of carb cleaner (or have the shop do it) and using the spray wand, remove a vacuum line in the intake plenum insert the wand spray to a count of three, replace the line and crank. If it trys to start and coughs out then it's fuel, if you don't get a firing of the engine it's something else - maybe ignition. BTW, you can do this when starting after running the car dry. My wife has done it twice and the shaking and noises comming from the engine as it works to get fuel to all of the injectors and then the cylinders is frightening!
If it looks like it a fuel delivery issues: Try this: Remove the trunk deck to get access to the top of the fuel pump. there are either 2 or 4 screws forward of the hinge in the deck that allows access to the spare. The larger silver cover, it's on the left, is the access to the fuel pump. the rubber ring around it usually has some sealant snot on it, just work it off. pull it off you will see the fuel pump, power connections, and the fuel line. you will need a jumper to provide ground and another to provide +12v to see if the pump works. in the four door we stole it from the inside trunk light. With the pump not covered by all that you will be able to hear it spin as soon as you apply power. If that happens give starting a go, you may have to crank a little if the lines are empty. You can drive like this, just be SURE to remove the jumpers when you stop. We did this on a four door S for about two weeks until we figured out where the real problem is, and how to fix it. If this works for you send me an email and I'll post the fix, it's a five minute no tools required deal.
