Forgot to say this.
As to slim jims, you have to know where you're going with them, and what the mechanism is like and what you're aiming to do - - push, pull, slide a rod forwards or back. So you have to know the interior structure of that particular car's door very well so you can visualize it. What you're doing is going down between the glass and the outer door skin, then since the glass ends, you can get the slim jim across into the area of the linkages between latch handles, lock buttons, and latch mechanism and work one of them.On some makes it's almost impossible.
