The key is that instruction booklet - - how comprehensive it is, what makes it covers (Fords, Chevys and Dodges is what some stop at), and how many years it goes back. The cheap auto discount store-Chinese tool store slim jims have lousy outdated instructions, photocopied so many times you can't even read them at that.
You can make your own slim jims from steel strapping; go out back of some businesses that receive machinery on pallets to find this. Cuts with tin snips, then you can notch it on sides, cut an inverted vee into top end, etc., also with tinsnips. Bend it as you like, it will hold whatever shape you give it.
Who on here knows what to do with one, on a C900? Can you hook it into the door lock button's shaft and pull that up? Or is that protected with interior door sheet metal that keeps you from getting at it?
One general rule is, the cheaper the car, the easier it is to pop open. Pricier makes have more interior door guarding.
