My oh my, very interesting! How did Whitesaab guess Diskullman was an Amsoil dealer? Was 'WS' implication that 'DM' is pushing Amsoil products on TSN accurate? Will 'DM' loose BB posting privileges for making that mean spirited comment about 'WS' mothers' (alleged) poor hygiene? Is Wanda carrying Alfredo's baby? What's the difference between "French vanilla" & "vanilla bean" ice cream & which tastes better in a root beer float? --- Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh, Tranny lube...(but the answer to the root beer float question is; "it doesn't matter when you pour in two or three shots of 'Southern Comfort'!")...Well I personally have no vested interest in promoting any particular brand of lube & have actually just switched from my own blend of Mobil 1 & Mobil high mileage oil (for the engine) to Walmarts "SuperTech" because Mobil (along with all the other well knowns) has hiked it's prices so much that they can all KISS MY A$$! Anyway, I've had BG syncro shift in a 90' 900t 5spd for 150k since 1991 & an 84' 900t w/Erikson 5spd rebuild (who btw recommends Castrol 10w/30) for 120k since 1998 with very good results - ie, smooth shifting, no funny noises, etc...then about four years ago, I replaced factory fill in my wife's 95' 900s 5spd w/Redline MTL (couldn't find syncro shift locally), noting an immediate improvement & in the 60k driven since there have been no problems...220k on that car now! So count me as a fan of both BG & Redline. I've never tried (or heard of before now) the Amsoil MTF, but I hear Honda makes a good manual trans lube - Cheers :)
