Just picked up a 89 900t conv. Bought for 250 and towed to my house for 85$ w/no clutch pedal whatsoerver. Once home found leaking clutch line. Once replaced and bled I have no problem w/ 1st and 2nd, however 3rd grinds.
My question is what is the best way to actually see these gears, i.e. wich cover do I pull off. I plan to rebleed and inspect linkage first, but it feels to me like the trans may be toast. I bought this car for some parts, intending to part it completely to repay my investment. Now I want a vert and a coupe, just cause this one started right up once I got it out of gear (and seems to drive o.k ie no suspension or brake noise. Plus has new rack and tires. 2nd question saabers, what do I do. Try to make one really nice coupe or both just average? Sorry about the rambling. I appreciate any advice in advance.
