I recently replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires on my wife's 92 900TC. After I did this I was stuck in base boost, so I assumed I must have knocked an electrical connection or vacuum hose while I was working under the hood. I checked all the usual culprits and came up with nothing. Searching on this board I found a couple of posts about always using Bougicord wires since the Bosch ones (which of course I had bought) were inadequately shielded and could mess with the knock sensors.
I was skeptical, but I dug out the old OEM wires out of the trash can in my garage, cleaned off the sawdust and reinstalled them. Now I get full boost once more!
So now I just need to call eEuroparts and see if they will take back the Bosch wires and sell me a set of Bougicords.
Hope this is helpful to others in the same position.
