S-Works reported doing this in Nov. 07, didn't mention which wires he tapped into on switch, But he posts regularly and may remember or be able to determine by pulling his headlight switch out of the dash.
Found this by searching "hard wired dash lights" and I've read of several people who recommend this to fix trashed foil printed circuit contacts. Search under a few different ways and you might find the actual wires involved mentioned.
You can pull the headlight switch straight out and probe its wires if you need to find one that's hot when lites are on.
It's pretty easy to solder wires onto the metal contact parts of a bulb holder, just make them long enough to easily reach the headlight switch or some other source point.
