mine did the same thing as i came off the hwy, and started intown driving the pedal got lower and lower (for the engagement point) to the floor, before long i started cramming gears.
the next day i got in and drove to the coffee house and the clutch worked fine on the way back the pedal was hitting the floor hard to get in any gear.
when rebuilding the clutch, i bought it all, new slave, pp, and clutch plate (made sure it was stamped with saab) no cutting corners on this job.
when everything was out of the car the pp & clutch plate looked to be in real good condition, after replacing the slave the pedal never hit the floor again before engaging.
