...that conventional "analog" TV in the USA is going the way of the Dodo in 9 days, right? Unless your thingamee can pick up over the air (OTA) terrestrial digital TV (DTV) broadcasts, or you install a converter box (and the 115vAC receptacle to power it...) all you're going to get is static.
For the AM/FM radio part, the standard rear fender mounted antennas - either powered or fixed - work well, in most cases. If you live in fringe areas, or travel in them, you might invest in a signal booster that mounts at the antenna.
