As an owner of a genuine prototype, I can say from looking at the pictures that the car is not a prototype SPG/Aero.
It is an 8V 1984 900 Turbo. Looks like standard cirrus white, etc. Very much modded in the boy-racer style. If indeed it has a 4-spd transmission, as claimed, it is likely a transplant from a 99 Turbo or something.
It reminds me of the 1989 Talladega Red SPG that someone was selling a couple of years ago as a 1989 SPG test car.
The claim then was that the car was an 89 when the Talledega Red color was not introduced on the SPG until a year later. NOTE: Talladega Red was available in Europe on 89 models and it was not limited to Aeros/SPGs.
In any case, that car was a "fraud" too. On inquiry, the seller sent me the 214 paint code which referred to Cherry Red. It was a Talladega Red repaint with a ricer-racer interior and SPG fairings.
Caveat Emptor I guess...but I hope no one buys that car thinking it is something that it is not. It's good as an example of an 8V Turbo if you have the parts to return it to original or enjoy as is.
