I'm pretty sure that all '93 and '94 verts came with alarms and remote locking. I'm not sure of earlier years. There should be a lock actuator in the driver's door. The factory alarm is an Alpine unit I believe. But is is branded as Saab Anti-Theft System. The factory alarm is mounted beneath the crossmember under the rear driver's-side seat. It's held to the crossmember at the front with a couple torx screws. The master lock actuator is wired in directly below the alarm unit. I believe that you can disable parts of the alarm, and keep the remote locking function. I plan to use the old system from my DOA '94 vert in my '92 coupe to have remote locking.
