They rebuilt the transmission and clutch on a 1993 900 Turbo, 117000 miles on it. The car ran beautifully, great gas mileage, doesnt overheat, good engine, turbo, everything is great.
The clutch sticks a little and you have to really push it, but as you drive the car long distances or for a long time, the engine wants to be shifted into gears much sooner and then going up a hill, the car wont move really. i depressed the pedal to the floor and the car kept going slower and slower and getting on and off highways at a toll booth.. the car refuses to go into 5th gear so i had to pull over and start again and it goes into 5th but there seems to be a drag grinding and the car will not downshift. when stopping i let it drop to 15 mph and then push the clutch in to downshift it back to 1st.
and on the hills there was a large rattle on the front right side. any ideas? the car ran fine besides this. i had other people drive it and look it over and they noticed it wanted to shift early but they thought it was something with the synchronization and wasnt a big deal.
everything else in the car checked out fine minus a small engine leak but the oil isnt leaking on the ground so..
