Drivers side motor mount blues Posted by Arabiflora [Email] (#1129) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Arabiflora) on Mon, 24 Aug 2009 14:26:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm trying to pull the motor and tranny from a '93 900 NA and the driver's side MM is busting my a$$. Based on searches of the board, I first tried to remove the 12 mm bolts holding the mount bracket to the motor (after supporting engine with a floor jack and 2x4. However, the bolts top out against the bracket itself-- at least the top rear one does, looks like other on the rear will do likewise. As alternative, I went after the 14 mm bolts, got the rear one out using swivel and extension from below, but front one is... a problem. I've managed to break it loose using an open end wrench through the coil springs and fender well, but surely there must be a better way-- there's no way in hell that I'll be able to reassemble...
I must be missing something, I'd greatly appreciate any tips or pointers.
