Be VERY careful doing anything to the dipstick tube. They can get seriously seized in there, and rounding off those corners or shattering the plastic sucks. IME, it's generally not worth fussing with, but if you must, hose the thing down with penetrent (liquid wrench, pb blaster, NOT WD40) first. I believe it's bigger than an inch - something like 28mm comes to mind. I could be wrong. I use a big adjustable Craftsman wrench with pointed tips - fits beautifully. But I use it very infrequently.
Just remove the upper super long 14mm-headed bolt and lower super short 14mm-headed bolt is enough. You need to remove both - the long one won't clear the dipstick tube without also removing the short one w/ bracket. But once they're both out, you're done. Totally painless! A moderately long extension and a breaker bar works. Better is an impact wrench - with the airbox out of the way there is generally plenty of clearance.
Removing the mount from the axle hump or the bracket from the engine is a LOT of annoying work. There is zero reason to go there.
