taking the rear plate off, cleaning it up and putting the seal in on 'the bench', then anaerobic sealant and replace on engine? if so, make sure you use lots up by the top of the oil return galley.
its easy using a screwdriver tip around and around the inside of the seal to help it over the crank.
adds a bit of time but makes it easier to take off the old seal and put the new one on. Those suckers are in there tight!!!!! i just about wrecked my tranny trying to pop out the input shaft seal...
