Hey everybody, it's been a long time since I've been here. And in the last several months I've come to understand why so many people are willing to go thru so much to keep driving these old cars. I love mine. However, I now have a problem, have had it for a while actually, that I want to rectify. I've been with out 1st gear since last winter. It clacks quite noticably in 4th, and pops out of reverse. It also leaves oil puddles in my parking spot. The oil is coming from the tranny, as I'm not losing a drop from the motor. So I'm finally succumbing to the obviouse. I need a new tranny. Does anyone know of a reputable Saab mechanic located in eastern Connecticut? I live in a condo and this is not a job I can do in my parking lot. They've been tolerent while I've replaced ball joints, inner drivers, cv joints, fuel pump, exaust etc. (These cars definately seem to be designed to be easy to work on)
