I have to agree with the rest of the responders. This might simply be a low on fluid situation. It is possible that a broken motor mount has caused damage to the shift bushing and fluid was lost..
Check to the fluid immediately.
Broken mount might also cause the shifter being out of alignment, it would then not go into gear or stay in properly. Seems unlikely that the transmission starts to act up at the same time there is a leak. They are likely connected.
