Heat gun and heavy fishing line will do the trick. Heat it up and pull the fishing line between the molding and the body. That way you won't have to bend the moldings at all.
No matter what method you use, you'll have residue on the car and the molding that you'll have to remove. You can use a large paint scraper to get the mounting tape off the molding. Be careful not to gouge the molding, or you'll get small wavy wrinkles in it when you put it back on. Definitely don't use any kind of powered rotary device on it, you'll definitely gouge it. WD40 and lots of work with a plastic putty knife will get the residue off the body.
The chromish parts on the molding can be polished if they are yellowed. They are plastic with a silver foil mounted on the backside (like a mirror), so just use a good quality plexiglass polish on them. Same goes for the bumper strips.
