That drivers side is a PITA. I was able to do one when I had the head off so the intake manifold was not in the way. I don't know what is easier, taking off the intake manifold or Bob Bitchens way, but it is none the less a PITA.
So, if you do decide to do it, there is one PITA that can be eliminated upon assembly -- the bracket for the mount has a bolt on the firewall side as I recall. It is just about impossible to get the bolt back into the bracket. But, if you cut out the bracket by making a slot that the bracket can slide onto the bolt, just thread the bolt in enough to give the bracket space to slide, then tighten it up. Those bolts on mine were rusted shut and a real challenge to get off. I had to trim down some end wrenches so they were slender enough to get into the pocket. You will see what I mean when you tackle this beast of a repair.
