1. Scrape off large deposits.
2. Drive to pressure wand car wash. The place would ideally be a short drive away so the engine stays cool.
3. Bag alternator if desired. Spray greasy parts with Gunk engine degreaser. Let soak 10 minutes or so.
4. Set the wand to High Pressure Soap, drop your quarters and start spraying. Work the wand like a surgeon. Hit the filthy parts from the top at every angle. Then spray from underneath the car aiming from front corners and behind front tires too.
5. Switch to High Pressure Rinse before the time runs out and do a quick once over.
Since you'll be sitting in one of the wash bays for a bit, it is best to do this during off-peak hours.
