Best Way to Get Rain Out of the Cylinders Posted by Roger D [Email] (#1121) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Roger D) on Wed, 12 Oct 2011 14:09:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
This is REALLY STUPID. I've got my recently acquired sweet 91T engine with 98K sitting by the driveway. It's October in NoCal and it doesn't rain until Halloween. I grab its newish plugs last week for my running 91T. But I have my rubber blankie covering the engine. The forecast is for the chance of an unseasonable shower. So the worst happens. On Mon. we get a one inch rainstorm and the blankie blows off the engine. My neighbor puts the blankie back on but forgets to tell me it was off. Just found out it blew off. Turned the engine over and a cup or so of water drains out. Fortunately I had put some MMO in the cylinders a couple weeks ago but I think I need to do something else before the plugs go back. Suggestions?
