Yes, but that driver was an expert autocross driver....he even laid out the course if you want to call it that ( gravel pit )...it did have a wicked sound didn't it?
Just to be on the crazy side, put a 215 Buick aluminum block V8 coupled to a Porsche 5 speed transaxle. It would be mid engine, and then you could have plenty of room up front for luggage, etc. :-) Kennedy Engineering in Palmdale has the bell housing, and adapter plate.
It could be called a SPB.....Saab Porsche Buick......
