I have done that job, and it SUCKS. Damien Shulock did too. You need to crack open two units (one switch, one motor) and everything more or less bolts into place. The problem is that some of those units crack open more easily than others... I've had some you can pry apart with a screwdriver and others that require extensive, terrible Dremel-ing to come apart. They do not go back together quite right, but you can generally make up the difference with epoxy.
Thing of it is, that IMHO you are no worse off just having a motor in the door. Once you have keyless, you'll probably never use the key again anyway. If you think you might, just use a switch in the console to flip the rest of the locks like the convertible had anyway. My $0.02, anyway.
