Early C900T engine NO ref matches in EPC Posted by Landjet [Email] (#16) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Landjet) on Sat, 3 Nov 2012 17:42:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Today I got a free engine block / head assembly. The part number in the head assembly on the exhaust side was 935824. The intake cam was marked ( and the only marking ) 750920. The exhaust was marked ( and the only marks whatsoever ) 1255440.
There was an interesting faint marking on the head normally where there date code is -- 85 22 8 -- perhaps that is a date code for 1985? The normal circular date code was not there, but that faint 85 22 8 was in the same place.
My EPC yielded nothing on any of the part numbers above, and a search on this board and the Performance board didn't turn much up other than it might be a 1986 SPG head, and one other poster showed the same camshaft part numbers for an early 1986.
Looking at 900Aero daught comz website for camshaft numbers didn't show up the exact same part numbers, but the intake was close to what was cross referenced as a 1984-1985 cam. It shows a 7509201 whereas, mine is absent of the trailing digit.
SOOO --- any other wisdom out there? I even googled it and the numbers came up somewhat dry - only one hit in a UK Saab website with very sketchy comparisons to the 1255440 camshaft number.
Thanks for giving the mystery a try.
