We can have about any grind we want on the cams, so it was more a question for the easy path for combinations of stock parts. The engine had been in dry storage for a number of years, head on, valve cover off, sitting on a concrete floor. Personally, I wouldn't want to hose it off and put it into a car :-)
Eventually, it may be used as a block to build an 8 valve motor though, so the cams/head could be re purposed, therefore, I wanted to ID the parts to either keep them for a future performance gain on another project, or more likely to send it ( them ) to another lucky person.
