That is correct. Change the yokes and they'll work. That's what I did to my car. You must make sure the yoke fits closely and slides freely. Then grease the heck out of it every time you take the wheel off, to ensure that it doesn't stick or grind away at itself. Some people build up loose-fitting yokes with weld (weld the yoke, not the caliper cylinder body, because it's hard to weld cast iron, the yoke is steel). If you have worn caliper cylinder bodies, you can weld the yokes and file the caliper body to match, or you can change cylinder bodies. I find most "rebuilt" units to be total garbage, with very loose-fitting yokes and worn caliper bodies. It would be silly to give up a good one as a core!
Don't use OEM or Brembo rotors. Go with Raybestos or something similar that doesn't have the divot in the side of the rotor for pad removal. That is the primary cause of recurring brake judder.
Saab world . net (remove spaces) has an illustrated tutorial on rebuilding these brake calipers in the 900 tutorials section. I wrote it, because nobody knows how they work except me, it seems! It's called "My pre-1988 brakes tutorial to end all tutorials - c900" Could just google that.
