Follow up on early 900 return fuel line check valve Posted by K-Saab [Email] (#1142) [Profile/Gallery] (more from K-Saab) on Sun, 20 Jan 2013 09:43:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Yesterday I repaired my fuel line leak. I replaced my check valve with a generic 5/16 in line fuel check valve found on eBay. One site sponsor and four national chains could not locate a generic check valve.
I loosened the two tank straps to get a little more room to work, then I spliced in a new section of 5/16 i.d. fuel line ahead of the check valve.
There's now three hose clamps instead of the original two. A one hour job and $13 dollars in parts.
The car does not start and quicker. These SAABs are crankers.
Thanks for your help Joe.
