The drivers side one went out years ago, so I pryed it loose and disconnected it at the handbrake lever inside the car. Now the passenger side one won't release when I lower the handbrake lever inside the car. I have to use the back of a hammer with the wheels fully turned and pry the cable linkage upwards to release it. Seems like maybe the spring coil has lost it's power to pull it back when the cable tension is released? Any solutions? Can I get just the coil spring replaced? Otherwise brakes work fine. Thanks.
