Okay, So I rebuilt the master cylinder earlier this summer, and I used a syringe to bleed the system out from the slave back. It appears to work great, and I get a nice firm pedal. Only problem is that it doesn't stay bled for long. After about a week or so, I start getting a soft clutch again. The fluid in the resivour goes all the way down! I open the bleeder screw, and do the syringe thing again and get all the air out the line, and push some fluid back into the system.
This last time, I bled the clutch till I had a firm pedal and some fluid in the resivour, then I left the car in the garage for a solid week...didn't drive it, didn't sit in it or anything. After a week, Clutch pedal was soft, and the fluid had drained down in the resivour again. So, I start nosing around looking for leaks. Not a drop of fluid on the floor of the garage (I know, amazing isn't it, I would have though some OTHER fluid would have at least dripped out the car LOL!) WTH!!! the fluid went somewhere!!!
Okay, so, I put a little more fluid in it, and I get my wife to sit in the car and pump the clutch pedal rapidly while I look over the entire system for leaks. None to be found, no gushers, no dribbles, no nothing *BUT* I do start hearing this subtle squishy splashy sound coming from the slave cylinder area. She mentions that the clutch feels a little soft, but not too bad.
So, any guess as to where the fluid is going? What's up with the squishy splashy sounds I'm hearing from the slave cylinder...obviously there' s air in the line, but how the heck did it get there? Bad bleed? air holes in the line? What gives!
I just wanna drive my fun car again and this is driving me insane!
