If you want to educate yourself about the best saab to buy, you've come to the right spot. If you want to invest, I don't recommend a car and would recommend elsewhere for investment advice. I don't say this out of disrespect for saabs, but because a car is only worth the value someone else places on it. Saabs are nice, but not as an investment vehicle.
As far as a saab, start reading the posts. It is the best way to learn about these cars.
I hope you like working on cars. If not, I think the cost to pay someone will become prohibitively expensive.
The 900 is a very nice car. Easy to repair, good availability of parts and very fun to drive. The newer, 9-3 & 9-5 are newer more refined vehicles.
My opinion is make sure the body is as free of rust as you can find. Body work is expensive.
This site has excellent classified listings where you will find many fine well maintained cars.
Good luck and have fun.
