Another wierd question... Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Fri, 25 Oct 2013 17:27:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So as I've said in previous posts, I have the drivers and back seat out and carpet out, and am working on getting a solid floor pan in (got that 95% done today), but while the idle was hunting upon cold start, I heard some on/off whining noises in the back (presumably the fuel pump) and conversely I put my fingers on the black plastic fuel hose (two of them running in parallel) running along the drivers side floor pan and I could feel it pulsing. When the idle dropped (in hunt mode) it seemed like the pulses got less and when it surged, the idle was going up. First, should I feel a pulsing in the fuel line(s)? And second, if the fuel pump is going out would and indicator be that I can feel the pulses increase and decrease with the surge and drop in idle? Or is it just the AMM?
