Fair amount so far this winter Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Tue, 4 Feb 2014 08:11:27 In Reply to: Re: Your projects, Snowmobile [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 4 Feb 2014 07:38:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Unheated garage in DC area - I bought a catalytic head for a propane tank (about $35 at Home Depot, IIRC) and crack the door to the garage by a foot to let air circulate. Since December 1:
1) 5-speed conversion on my new vert, full tune-up, etc.
2) replaced entire interior of new car with leather and door panels from old car, replaced carpet too.
3) fiberglassed a rust out in the floor pan
4) replaced dash on new vert with new one from FleaBay
5) solved multiple electrical gremlins (mirror didn't work, no fuel gauge, non-functioning rear defroster, rear tail light issues)
6) partially traced electrical problem with interior lights - no love yet, but am getting close.
7) replaced speedometer to resolve non-functioning odometer
8) replaced FPR with 3.0 bar unit, new red-tops, and new Jak Stoll fueling chip.
Would have done more, but wife would've killed me. I highly recommend getting the propane heater attachment. With the addition of long johns, and a fleece pull over, it is very comfortable in the garage. Makes a lot of things possible. The one on the left at this link is really all you need:
