Dead on road: No power going to the LH 2.4.2

My 1991 Saab 900S died while driving to the grocery store today. After following several steps in Bentley I found that there is no power going to the LH 2.4.2 control unit.
Bentley just referred me to the wiring diagram, which leaves me somewhat lost. Anyone know why the LH would not receive power?
Here's what I tested so far and some things going on:
I removed a plug and held it against the engine, my girlfriend cranked the engine - spark was present.
I sent power to the fuel pump by jumping terminals in the fusebox (per Bentley). Fuel pump not energizing. Further testing found that no power is being sent to the fuel pump.
Tested fuel pump relay (above LH). Power was present, but there was no signal coming from the LH. That let me to the LH, which failed the first test. No power present.
Where should I go from here? What sends the LH its voltage?
The Saab is died in front of the upscale shopping district of Friendship Heights in DC. Kind of awkward working under the hood on the side of the road there. But oh well, at least we coaxed the car into a parking spot.
Thanks for any help!!!
