Hi,

I recently installed a used transmission into my 85T, at that time I replaced all trans seals, as well as rebuilt the clutch master and slave myself (easy). Car is equipped with a high performance carbon/kevlar clutch and is basically new (so I cleaned it off and reinstalled)

about 7000miles in and the clutch operation when the engine is hot is very odd. The engagement point changes depending on how fast I release it and it sort of seems like the slave (or master) is hanging up. The pedal seems slightly heavier during this time as well, and if you drop the clutch hard, it releases slower than how the pedal was released (its hard to explain). If you pump the clutch fast repeatedly, its like the slave is hung up pushing the PP and reacts slowly making the clutch odd feeling.

I have read many say that odd clutch operation is usually MC/Slave problems, but I just rebuilt them carefully and even used special caliper/brake grease on the seals to help prevent failure

Once I get onto the freeway and the engine gets nice cool air again, the problem disappears.

- also my 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 does the EXACT same thing and I havent a clue either
