You know, I was just sitting here thinking' with that radiator line in that hose it would keep that hose from completely decompressing, that is if the hose was able to. Last I remember that's a really strong hose that could withstand a great amount of vacuum but I always thought its a brain fart from the engineers. Could also be keeping the oil warm to keep it from slugging up in that pipe being a good amount of oil gets sent down that pipe even though the valve cover has a shield in it to prevent this. Lots of theories can be thought up to entertain the mind.
I was way up in the woods of Vermont with an ace hardware store, I forget what I was doing' replacing the valve cover grommets or replacing that plastic nipple, but as soon as that hose was pulled off the nipple 8 inches of the hose snapped off the pipe from the excessive dry rot, and this was my daily driver at the time :) I just sat there with the 8inch piece in my hand and screamed "Nooooo!!!"
Ah the good old days' Haven't had the c900 for a daily driver for a long long time but all this talk is making want to park my other Saabs and climb back into it. The c900 is a fun car man
