That is a fantastic looking 140! I've recently got a hankering for an early wagon myself! :)
I needed the 140a in the Falcon to run the distributorless ignition. The car came with a swapped-in 65a unit, but at 600rpm it was only making around 20a, so with the lights on the battery wouldn't charge. The 140a unit makes 80a (IIRC) at 600rpm, so no problem with the EDIS ignition and the high beams. The 105a in the Cadillac is to support the air compressor, which was struggling with the engine running and the headlights on. Both of these alternators are overall, but they are both from common cars (a Ford Taurus and a Buick Century) so they are widely available and very cheap. I think the Ford unit was $60 and the Buick unit was $40 - both fresh remans with warranties. I would love to find a cheap source for a higher output Bosch for a c900 - I'm spoiled on cheap alternators! :)
