i got to thinking now that i'm trying to diagnose a bad cps and/or tps and/or ignition module ... :-(
all those sensors/electronic systems that monitor the throttle/air intake/fuel injection, etc ..... in the interests of making the car more reliable - at 238,000 miles which is what i have on my car - would it make sense to replace some of this stuff rather than do it bit by bit as one component fails? i just had the tranny rebuilt and thought i was good to go for another 100K miles or so, but it seems i'm beset by these niggling issues that i'd like to sort out once and for all. at least the car looks great and generally rides extremely well. maybe i've just hit a temporary bump in the road here. i never thought that my '73 MGB would turn out to be more reliable than the 900s but over the last few years, it has been! thanks for your input.
