Manual Transmission Fluid Drain & Refill, Seafoam?

Hi,
I have a classic 93 900 S with a manual transmission. I am planning on draining and refilling the transmission fluid/oil by removing the cover on the rear of the transmission. I have three questions:
1) Would it be a good idea to put some Seafoam in the transmission shortly before draining and refilling it? Say, put in the Seafoam and drive it roughly 20 - 50 miles before the drain and refill.
2) Am I also correct in assuming I must pour at least a quart of the new fluid into the chain case in the front in the transmission just behind the radiator? Should I stick some kind of dipstick in there to check the level in the chain case portion of the transmission?
3) Just to confirm, the Differential Gasket is the one for that rear cover just in front of the steering rack, its the one I want to order, correct? I don't dare try and reinstall that cover without the correct replacement gasket.
A preemptive thanks to anyone and everyone who takes the time to answer my questions, I really appreciate it.
Thanks!
