Justin as usual is right on the money... Body is #1, then tranny. Most parts for a 16 valve are not hard to find, and especially if you are in the north east, there are tons of rotted out parts cars around. What is way more difficult is finding a rust free body. Really difficult. Super amazingly difficult. So much so, that I would seriously look to the dry south west for a carcass to have shipped north. If there is any visible rust on the exterior of the car, there is a rust problem. Trust me. My c900's are 10 years newer than the 1980, they've been annually oil sprayed and are better than average. You will be fixing floors, fenders, shock mount areas, etc etc sooner than you might fix. Highly recommend pulling up the carpets when you look at it and check the state of the brake lines etc. Those leak and rot the floors.
I am assuming you don't need this as a daily driver, right? I'd say it is getting harder to do that with only 1 c900... you benefit greatly from another vehicle (ideally another c900). That way if your car needs DIY attention, you can get to work, get to the store for parts, etc and just generally not have to rush repairs. Repairs are inevitable with cars that are a minimum of 20 years old (or 35 years old for the 1980!!)
Finding a good c900 is bliss. Good luck!
