Fuel Gauge Sender Wiring Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Sat, 27 Jun 2015 16:51:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My brother owns a 1990 900 Turbo Convertible (I now have a 9000 Aero). His fuel gauge sender went bad, and he looked for a new replacement, but as we all know these are no longer available. He successfully installed the newer combo fuel pump/fuel level sender and the pump is working (!) but he's now puzzled how to deal with the sender wiring. The old sender used three wires, new combo unit has four contacts, two for the pump motor and another two which I assume are for the level only. Which two wires of the three are for the gauge, or is this an invalid assumption?
